Outside on the covered patio...THE HOT L POETS SERIES continues with poets Dan Brady & William Fargason! The reading series is co-sponsored by Smartish Pace magazine and Baltimore Poets Theater. The reading includes two featured poets, along with an open mic, so feel free to bring a poem to read!
Dan Brady is the author of the poetry collections Subtexts (2022), Strange Children (2018) and , and Songs in E——, winner of the Barclay Prize for Poetry, forthcoming from Trnsfr Books (2022), along with two poetry chapbooks. He is the poetry editor of Barrelhouse and lives in Arlington, Virginia with his wife and two kids.
Previously, Dan served as the editor of American Poets, the journal of the Academy of American Poets, and worked in the Literature Division at the National Endowment for the Arts, where he received a Distinguished Service Award for his work on the Big Read, the largest community reading initiative in US history. He currently provides consulting services in communications for non-profits and philanthropies.
William Fargason is the author of Love Song to the Demon-Possessed Pigs of Gadara (University of Iowa Press, 2020). His poetry has appeared in Ploughshares, The Threepenny Review, Prairie Schooner, Smartish Pace, New England Review, Narrative, and elsewhere. He earned an MFA in poetry from the University of Maryland and a PhD in poetry from Florida State University. He is a poetry editor at Split Lip Magazine. He lives with himself in Sparks Glencoe, Maryland.
