Charles Belfoure is a retired historic preservation architect. He is the New York Times bestselling author of The Paris Architect, House of Thieves, The Fallen Architect, and The Faberge Secret. An architect by profession, he trained as an architect at the Pratt Institute and Columbia University. With no training in creative writing, his writing career started with his Masters thesis at Columbia. He began writing with nonfiction work like The Baltimore Rowhouse, and wrote about architectural & real estate development topics for the Baltimore Sun & New York Times. He taught at Pratt as well as Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland. He is currently working on a novel about terrorism and ISIS.
