Laura Lippman has been called one of the “essential” crime novelists of the past hundred years, with twenty-four books published in thirty languages. A former journalist, she continues to write for numerous publications, including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, Real Simple, New York Magazine, and Glamour.com. She lives in Baltimore and New Orleans with her family.
Alice Bolin is the author of Dead Girls: Essays on Surviving an American Obsession. Her nonfiction has appeared in many publications including ELLE, the Awl, the LA Review of Books, Salon, VICE's Broadly, The Paris Review Daily, and The New Yorker's Page-Turner blog. She currently teaches creative nonfiction at the University of Memphis.
