This second-edition version of "I-Love-Me Poetry: the Beauty of Black" is a joyful (and sometimes sobering) celebration of women of color and our God-given identity. It is illustrated with heart-warming paper-collage images, and with a patterned backdrop throughout the book, this collection has a lovely scrapbook feel. Edition 2 includes thirteen (13) additional poems that were written specifically for this project, bringing the total number of pieces to thirty-five (35). Another new feature is the inclusion of a section (at the back of the book) which provides background information about each poem. This feel-good collection is designed to empower women of African descent with a strong sense of self-appreciation and self-love. Every woman of color, teen of color, and tween of color should be treated to poetry from this book.
